Applying for a NH Marriage License

You may apply for your NH marriage license at any town or city clerk's office. The license is valid in any NH city or town. You must each show a photo ID, and both persons must be present for the license to be processed.

If either person has been married before, they must present a certified copy of the divorce decree - or - a certified copy of annullment - or - a certified copy of the death certificate.

The filing fee is $50 payable at the time the application is filled out in the City Clerk's office. The license is valid for 90 days. There is no waiting period, no blood test, and no requirement for witnesses at your wedding.
