Service Options and Fees
STANDARD...
My standard wedding officiant service includes a personal meeting (if desired) to get to know one another and talk about your wedding plans. If you live far away or you have a busy schedule and need to keep planning time to a minimum, all pre-wedding ceremony arrangements can be done via phone and email.
Once I've received your deposit and your date is reserved, I'll send you several ceremony samples for consideration and inspiration, as well as a helpful ceremony guide and ideas for readings and optional rituals. You may use any ceremony "as-is" without changes, or you can mix and match sections that you prefer. I encourage my couples to be creative! You may also use ceremony elements (such as vows) that you've already chosen or written yourselves. It's entirely up to you!
As we near your wedding day, I'll work with you via e-mail and over the phone to create a personalized ceremony that includes your ideas and choices. The result will be a wonderful and meaningful wedding ceremony for you both.

OTHER SERVICES/PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Deposit -
Once your date is confirmed by me, your deposit is non-refundable. When I commit to your wedding, I not only reserve a spot for you on my calendar, but I also invest time in the happy task of working with you and preparing your ceremony. The non-refundable retainer assures me of a portion of compensation in the event you have to cancel (see below).
Rescheduling -
Although your deposit is non-refundable, it may be applied to a different day and time (up to 6 months beyond your original wedding date) with no penalty, so long as you let me know at least 60 days prior to your original date.
Mileage fee -
I don't charge mileage for locations within a 20 mile radius of my home. I love to travel and perform weddings throughout New Hampshire, so for all other locations, a modest $.35 per mile fee (round-trip from my home to the ceremony location and back, measured using Google or Yahoo Maps) will apply.
Rehearsal -
For smaller or more casual weddings, you will probably find that the final written ceremony "script" I provide you is so detailed that you can take it and walk through the rehearsal on your own. For formal or more structured weddings, or if you'd just feel more comfortable having me attend your rehearsal, there will be an additional fee of $75 for attending a rehearsal in any location within a 20 mile radius of my home. For all other locations, the mileage fee above will apply.

Payment for deposits may be by cash, check, or money order. All payments made the day of the ceremony must be by cash or money order.
Military discount -
I offer a 20% discount on all ceremonies to those who are currently on Active Duty in the US Armed Forces (does not apply to deposit or mileage).

If your wedding will be an intimate setting in the next 3 days with just the two of you (an elopement), or a spontaneous gathering of family and friends, this option is for you! All arrangements can be made via phone and e-mail.
Depending upon my availability, we'll agree to meet at the place and time you've chosen for your wedding, and I'll provide you with a simple and beautiful pre-written ceremony that has been personalized just for you. Afterwards, I'll file your marriage license and send you a reminder of how to obtain your certified marriage certificate.
